Salut,
a priori Lufthansa est plutôt bonne joueuse sur le covid, mais cela ne vous mets pas à l’abris d’une annulation de dernière minute…
Des voyageurs ont fait ce compte rendu :
Many have asked how entering Namibia is currently going. Here is our report from our flight on September 22, 2020 from Frankfurt to Windhoek.
To get right to the point: It was super easy.
The airline, in our case Eurowings (Lufthansa), already looked at the Corona test at departure. Ours was issued for Monday, September 21st.
Due to our concerns that everything will take a long time, we checked in on one of the first rows. However, only about 70 people were on the plane. Sure, the mask is mandatory for the entire flight. Shortly before landing, the ladies had handed out a form that should be filled out. However, that turned out to be the questionnaire that could be downloaded in advance. So we didn’t have to fill it out, we had prepared that. We also filled out the normal entry form for Namibia, which is always due, even without Corona. After getting out of the plane, directly on the field, they checked the corona test again. In the building came the temperature measurement, passport control and the questionnaire was handed in directly near at the baggage claim. There we were informed about the procedure of the test on the 5th day. And there we also listed our pre-booked and certified accommodations for the first seven days - they didn’t want to see the booking confirmation. We pre-booked a different accommodation every day (although we are already somewhere else today). That’s it. After 20 minutes we had left the airport including luggage.
They called us on the second day and asked about our location on the 5th day. For an appointment to test. We didn’t expect that. It all seems to be quite organized. Because we don’t want to rely on the logistical implementation strength, I asked for a test address “on our way”. On the 3rd day we were called again to finalize the meeting. Tomorrow, at our own request, we’re going to the clinic in Tsumeb. But they would come somewhere too. So everything is easy.
I think now it is a good time for seriously interested travelers to travel to Namibia. Everyone is very happy about tourists. And everything is still very empty. Have fun!
En gros : les choses sont plutôt simple et bien organisées
Bonne continuation !
Alex
