Kandy - Hanthana Mountain Range in Sri Lanka

Hanthana is a familiar place to anyone who loves beautiful nature. This place is very popular among the young generation of Sri Lanka as many young students use this place for their annual mountaineering sessions. This Mountain Range is located in the Kandy area of Sri Lanka. Bird watching, hiking as well as camping are some of the popular activities associated with this mountain range. At an altitude of 1240 m above sea level, the Hanthana mountain range stretches all the way from the Kandy city to the town of Galaha, 20 km south.
