The day before Christmas provides a tranquil atmosphere to explore the city with fewer crowds. Several dining spots close on December 24th while others have reduced schedules. Those open offer a cozy holiday vibe. The major attractions, river cruises, and festive spirit unite locals and visitors from the 25th through 26th.
Dining and shopping can be done on the primary Christmas markets in Prague which run daily from 30th November 2024 to 6th January 2025, accommodating celebrations on Christmas Eve, Day, and New Year’s Eve/Day. Smaller additional markets pop up in various locations throughout this time. One at the top of Wenceslas Square runs November 25th to January 6th from 10am-8pm daily. Another at Republic Square operates November 30th to December 30th daily from 10am-8pm. Near Charles Bridge in Lesser Town, one operates from November 30th onwards from 6am-6:30pm daily.
Just outside the city center, Peace Square from November 23rd to December 24th is open 10am-8pm daily. Similarly, Tyl Square from November 25th to December 24th runs 10am-8pm daily.
