Voici la réponse que j’ai eu de “Maldives Health Ministry” :
"Greetings from Maldives!
Maldives, as a Zika endemic country, follows WHO recommendations.
According to the information issued by WHO and CDC(USA), Zika is mostly transmitted via mosquito (Aedes) bite. Because Zika can cause severe birth defects, it is recommended that pregnant women and couples trying to become pregnant, consider the risks and possible consequences of travel to areas with risk of Zika.
Last case of Zika was reported in 2018. Since Maldives is a Dengue endemic country, we see cases throughout the year. Therefore, it is advisable to ensure proper preventive measures, if travelling to Maldives.
Should you have further queries, kindly contact the surveillance unit of the health protection agency.
Warm Regards,"
Donc à priori, aucun cas de zika depuis 2018 !
