Being Sri Lanka one of the best tea producing countries, our tea branded as world known “Ceylon Tea” !!! It will be a nice experience to see how the grown tea make the hill country such a scenic heaven. In Sri Lanka,Tea is planted mostly in Hill Country (Sabaragamuwa,Central and Uva provinces) and also low country (Western and Southern Provinces). You can easily see tea plantation when you travel Nuwaraeliya from Colombo. Nuwaraeliya is the main town that is popular for Tea and have almost all the mountain tops planted tea.If you come through a travel agent help, you also will able to visit a tea factory too.(there are many tea factories, but least of them allow to visit inside and see the tea producing process) You can get down at a tea estate when you passing them on your way and touch the tea leaves, smell the the young leaves and try tasting too !!! ![]()
Other than tea plantation there are lots of places to visit. Nuwaraeliya city ,which named as “little England” with colonial architectural pieces all over and Lake Gregory. Hakgala botanical garden is another fascinating place.if you plan to stay in tea country 2 or more days don’t forget to visit Horton Plains national park. Though you are wondering what to do in tea plantation area, there are plenty of activities to do and places to visit that you can not finish in a day or two.
Hope you will enjoy the trip to Sri Lanka with the experience of tea country and the beauty of cascading silvery waterfalls around.if you require any further information or help from me,feel free to send me a private message.
have a nice time!!

Bonjour, outre Nurawa Eliya, vous pouvez vous arrêter à Haputale pour visiter la plantation de thé Lipton. La balade est très jolie.
