Moreton Bay fait face à Brisbane. La baie comprend une multitude d’îles dont Moreton Island ou la North Stradbroke Island, pour les plus grandes. Bordée de stations balnéaires, Moreton Bay abrite de nombreuses espèces marines : dauphins, tortues et même baleines à bosse de juin à novembre.
